Event Rules

Like every other venue, Harmony Park has a few rules Unlike some other venues, we'd like to explain our rules. We feel this is more positive than just saying no all the time.

We feel everyone should be able to enjoy music in a quality, family setting.

Pets have sensitive ears and are territorial. Rock and roll is loud and kids love pets, but pets don't always love kids. An event can be a confusing and unpleasant place for an animal to be when the Park has a couple of thousand folks in it. Your pet will be happier if you don't bring them to the show. Harmony Park's resident dogs are always kenneled during events to protect them and you.

We can plan the show, but we can do nothing about the weather. We've had some great times in the rain at Harmony Park. You won't melt so come to the Park and enjoy our Mother's weather with us.

People like to dance in their bare feet and we feel they have that right. Bottle caps and broken glass can ruin a fellow festival attendee's weekend. In addition, broken glass  cuts the tires of the various vehicles used to maintain the Park. These tires cost money and make the cost of running the park higher. Higher cost, higher ticket prices, simple.

Fireworks are fun, colorful and dangerous. We live in a tent city when we're at the park. Imagine you've just paid a lot of money for a tent only to have it destroyed by a bottle rocket. What would happen if the row of pine trees at the Park were to catch fire?

The only way Harmony Park can assure you of quality is to approve all vendors. We want you to be happy with your purchases at the Park.

This one shouldn't need too much explaining. The Park is private property, but that does not exclude us from the rest of the world.

Persons wishing to buy beer in the beer garden must have a proper ID or they will not be served. It's also good to have an ID in case of an emergency.

When vehicles roll over the ground at the Park, the soil is compacted. This compaction is bad for the ecosystem of the Park. The large oak trees we all love suffer greatly from this activity. Some of the other aspects of this traffic are less room to camp and safety issues. Staff members are allowed to operate vehicles in the Park to facilitate operations.

Even if you change your mind at the last minute we still have to pay the bands, toilets etc.

Harmony Park bans guns from anywhere in the Park or parking areas.
